Ingredients
12 large apples
½-1 cup (120-240 mL) water
3 cinnamon sticks, optional
Instructions
1. Peel, core, and chop up the apples
2. Put them in a deep stovetop pan with the water
3. Add the cinnamon sticks, if desired
4. Bring it to a boil over high heat, then cover tightly, and lower heat to simmer for approximately 30 minutes, or until apples are soft
5. Remove the cinnamon sticks once done
6. If you want a smoother consistency, you can blend the applesauce once it cools
Yield
8 cups (1.9 L)
