> Pepper-Basil Pork Patties
PEPPER-BASIL PORK PATTIES
These homemade sausage rounds are a great addition to any breakfast offering, or between two slices of SCD bread as a quick snack. ¼ cup (38 g) red bell pepper, seeded and chopped fine
Ingredients
½ pound (220 g) ground pork 2 fresh basil leaves, chopped fine ½ egg white, beaten until stiff ½ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon black pepper oil or ghee for greasing tray
Instructions
1. Mix all the ingredients together in a small mixing bowl
2. With wet hands, roll into small flat rounds and place at intervals on a greased baking tray
3. Place the tray in oven and bake at 350°F (180°C or gas mark 4) for 30-45 minutes, or until done
4. You may flip them over during baking to ensure even cooking on both sides
Yield
8-10 patty rounds
