1 (2 1/2 to 3-lb.) broiler-fryer chicken, cut-up
1/4 cup salad oil
1 onion, chopped
16 ounces tomato sauce
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves, crushed
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons dry red wine
1. In skillet, brown chicken in hot oil. Drain.
2. In crockpot, combine chicken with onion, tomato sauce, oregano, thyme, salt, pepper, garlic, and wine.
3. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours.
